Despite the racing character of the bike, the Akrapovic SLIP-ON exhaust system is
designed for recreational riders who are looking for increased performance without a major exhaust system modification.
The HEXAGONAL muffler, which fits beautifully with the lines of the motorcycle, increases the visual style of the Honda CBR1000RR. Riders who require maximum
performance should see the Akrapovic Racing and Evolution systems.
The Akrapovic SLIP-ON exhaust system is made of three basic components: a
muffler and two link pipes, one of which is independent and the other welded
to the muffler. The tubes for both link pipes are cylindrical and made of
titanium. The independent link pipe is attached to the stock header assembly
with a sleeve joint, secured with a metal clamp and a tensioning spring. The
two link pipes are also connected with a sleeve joint, which is secured with
a silicon-shielded spring. The muffler outer sleeve is available in either
titanium or carbon fiber. The muffler is attached to the frame using an
Akrapovic carbon fiber clamp.

Power & Torque:
Despite being an entry-level tuning component, the SLIP-ON system also
offers a performance increase throughout the entire rpm range. At 11200 rpm
we measured 153.2 HP. The situation for the torque curve is similar, with
the best results coming in the middle of the range around 5000 rpm, where
the dropout in the stock curve is filled.
