The 2008-2009 Suzuki
Hayabusa Dual Hexagonal Slip-On Akrapovic Exhaust System is designed for
riders who are looking for a base level exhaust system modification. It is an excellent combination of performance, production
quality and affordability. The hexagonal muffler design offers a major weight
savings over the stock exhaust and complements the sporty styling of the Suzuki.
The Akrapovic Hexagonal Slip-On Exhaust System for the
2008-2009 Suzuki Hayabusa is composed of cylindrical stainless steel link
pipes and a pair of HEXAGONAL mufflers. The link pipes are attached to the
stock header assembly with sleeve joints and metal clamps. The outer sleeves
of the HEXAGONAL mufflers are available in titanium or carbon fiber. The
inlet cap and perforated inner sleeve are made of titanium while the outlet
cap is made of carbon fiber. The system is attached to the frame using
Akrapovic carbon fiber clamps and a stainless steel bracket.

Power & Torque:
The power curve with the Akrapovic dual slip-on exhaust system for the
2008-2009 Suzuki Hayabusa delivers an increase in engine responsiveness. The
increase gradually expands from 5500 rpm to the top of the range. At 9680
rpm 182.9 HP was measured with a maximum power increase of 4.2 HP at 10,190
rpm.
