Please Note: Galfer Brake Pads are sold in a set of either 2 or 4 brake pads depending on the calipers on your motorcycle. Order 1 brake pad set for each caliper you want to install them on. So if you have a motorcycle with dual calipers up front, you would need to order 2 sets of brake pads.
Galfer 1054 Black Series GG Semi-Metallic Brake Pads
The 1054 compound is the workhorse of the Galfer brake pad family. It offers progressive feel and feedback and is GG rated which makes it a great overall brake pad. This compound is available for front and rear calipers. Use this compound if you commute to work, ride light trails or woods or just need some good brake pads. This compound is so versatile, many Karts use it as a race compound!

Galfer 1532 Green Series Kevlar Brake Pads
The green 1532 Kevlar compound is Galfer's top organic pad. It offers strong initial bite, linear progression and fade free performance. Their softest brake pad, it provides the least amount of wear to rotors. This brake pad handles all the heat you can throw at it, yet works great right out of the garage. A versatile pad that is ideal for road racing for lighter bikes, Sportbikes, MX, SX, and Enduro.

Galfer 1370 / 1380 Series HH Sintered Brake Pads
This compound is the Galfer 1375 compound on a diet. It has all the great features of the 1375 compound with the exception of the ceramic coated backing plate. Looking for that perfect brake pad to do those canyon runs? This is it! Very easy on the discs and great heat recovery. This compound is available for most applications.

Galfer 1375 Series HH Sintered Ceramic Brake Pads
The Galfer 1375 compound is the result of many long days at the racetrack and on the brake dyno. Based on Advanced Ceramics, this compound is meant for the track. It offers very fast heat recovery for more consistent braking which, in turn, gives the rider more feel. This is the pad of choice for aggressive street riders and racers at the top of club levels and AMA contenders. These brake pads are very easy on rotors since they do not have the same levels of metallics in them as many OEM and aftermarket brands. The 1375 compound also features a ceramic coated back plate which helps to dissipate heat away from the brake pad and reduces the amount of heat transferred into the caliper pistons. This gives you a cooler running brake system that will be able to withstand more heating cycles and deliver consistent braking. Available for front calipers on Supersport and Superbike applications.
Galfer 1300 Series HH Sintered Ceramic Brake Pads
For professional level riders who want more initial bite right up front, the sintered ceramic 1300 brake pad gives a very strong initial bite and then just keeps going. The bite is powerful without being too abrupt, then provides a very linear progression to add control and predictability to the mix. Use this brake pad for professional or top semi-pro road racing and super motard.
Galfer 1396 Series HH Sintered Ceramic Brake Pads
The Galfer 1396 compound is the result of years of testing in all kinds of riding and all types of terrain. Based on Advanced Ceramics, this compound is designed to deliver excellent performance in all aggressive scenarios. It offers very fast heat recovery for more consistent braking which, in turn, gives the rider more feel and control. These brake pads are very easy on rotors since they do not have the same levels of metallics in them as many OEM and aftermarket brands. The 1396 compound also features ceramic composites in its mix, which help to dissipate heat. This gives you a cooler running system that will be able to withstand more heating cycles and deliver consistent braking. Available for all offroad and dual sport applications.
Galfer Brake Pad Maintenance and Break-In
When installing new Galfer Brake Pads, be sure to clean around the pistons of the caliper according to your service manual. This helps the pistons slide easier and gives you better release for the brake pads.
Galfer recommends cleaning the caliper pad slide pins if equipped. This will help the brake pads retract when the lever is released.
Most systems will not reuse the OEM brake pad shims or heat plates. Your choice.
Always check your brake fluid level in your reservoir. New brake pads and rotors are thicker than the old ones and too much fluid in the system can apply the brake when you are not on the lever.
Brake pads should be bedded in to clean rotors. Start with slow stops ranging from 10-15 mph and increasing in blocks of 10 mph until about 40-50 mph. Repeat this step 2-3 times and resume casual riding. Bedding in brake pads helps prevent glazing and helps to mate the pads to the rotor surface.
Changes to the brake system are known to affect the suspension of your vehicle. You may need to adjust the settings of your suspension after upgrading your brake system.
If you are also installing brake lines with your pads and rotors, Galfer recommends that you do the brake lines first in case brake fluid is spilled on any of the components. Brake pads can absorb brake fluid and will contaminate them.
