Galfer Superlight Series Steel Braided Brake Lines are made of PTFE 62
Dupont Teflon. Around the inner Teflon there are 16 strands of steel braided cable
(most companies only use 12) that allows for almost 0 expansion effect when applying
pressure to the brake lever. The brake lines are coated with a PVC protective coat
available in 10 different colors to match or compliment the colors of your motorcycle
while protecting the line from weather and the bike from scratches. Most brake line
kits are 2 line kits with the brake lines traveling from the master cylinder directly
to each caliper. Galfer uses high quality aluminum banjo fittings and bolts
which reduce weight over the steel banjos and fittings of the Standard brake
lines.
Each Galfer Superlight Series Steel Braided Brake Line Kit is
bike specific and is tailored to each bike for a perfect fit and finish. Unlike many
other manufacturers, Galfer pre-positions the banjo fittings on the brake line for an
out-of-the-box fit, but their position can be adjusted by hand if needed.
