bike class. The words 'agile' and 'refined' aptly describe the 2008-2010 Ducati 848. At 369 lbs. the Ducati 848 is an amazing 44 lbs. lighter than its predecessor and a significant 11 lbs. lighter than its larger capacity brother, the 1098. By reducing the weight (-6 lbs.) and improving the horsepower (+3.5 hp) and torque, the Two Brothers Racing dual M-2 V.A.L.E.

Two Brothers Racing has been using carbon fiber in motorcycle mufflers since 1992. They are currently the only U.S. Company to exclusively use Filament Wound Carbon Fiber (FWCF) on every carbon fiber muffler they sell. They draw on only the best high temperature resins and control a proprietary lining system adopted from spacecraft, for additional heat resistance. Two Brothers Racing FWCF is continuously wound over a precision machined mandrel for a 100% seamless bond. The FWCF tube is then cured in a high temperature autoclave oven for superior strength and heat resistance. These crucial elements meld to form a precision lightweight muffler that will perform as well as it looks.

V.A.L.E. = Variable Axis Locking Exhaust
The V.A.L.E.™ system is Two Brothers Racing's revolutionary and patented method of attaching the muffler canisters to the exhaust tube without the use of springs or welding. The V.A.L.E. system allows the muffler assembly, exhaust tube and canister to be positioned perfectly on the bike before all the mounting hardware is fully tightened. Once the canister and exhaust tubes are properly aligned, the V.A.L.E. assembly locks the muffler canister to the exhaust tube assuring a perfect, leak-free fit.
